Master of Social Work

Admission Criteria

Eligibility: 

•    Graduate candidates in any discipline from UGC Recognized Institution/ College/University or Equivalent.
•    Candidate Appearing for Final Year Examination can also apply.

(1)    Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;
(ii) Passed minimum three year duration Bachelor's Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;


Admission Process 
MSW Prospectus/Application can be obtained from CSIBER office for Rs. 250/- or  by post Rs.300 /-(DD/Cheque may be drawn in favor of ‘The Director, CSIBER Kolhapur).Application form can be downloaded(take printout) or apply through online. www.siberindia.edu.in
•    Copy of  Adhaar card and caste certificate (if applicable) and marks list of Xth, XIIth  and Degree  need to be attached with application form.
•    Student will be admitted purely on merit basis through CET.
Students  will have to appear  for  common entrance test CET (Two hour duration) consists of 100 marks (MCQ on  Basic General Knowledge, General English, and Maths ) followed by Personal interview and document Verification hencee the students have to carry all the Original  documents as mentioned above .

Reservation: 
Reservation for special categories such as SC, ST, NT, OBC, etc. will be as per the Government of Maharashtra.

Duration:
•    The degree of MSW. (MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK) is a full time course in English Medium with Semester Pattern. 
•    During MSW-II year, any one of the following specialization can be opted by student as per his or her choice.
    Group A : Human Resource Management &Labor Welfare  
    Group B : Urban and Rural Community Development
    Group E : Medical and Psychiatric Social Work


Note :    Regular attendance in class, completion of assignments ,concurrent field work, rural camp, study tour and active participation in social extension activities to be organized by Dept with collaboration of different NGOs  are compulsory.
