Dr Durgesh N Valvi bears 19 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Social Work. He
has been associated with teaching in thrust areas of Counselling, Therapies, Developmental psychology,
Dynamics of Human Behavior, Social Policy, Youth leadership and development, Soft skills,
Organizational Behavior, Labor legislations, Industrial Relations, Urban, rural and tribal community
development. His current research areas are social issues, tribal development, social work education,
Human relations, Labor issues, mental health and urban problem etc. Four M Phil Students completed
research work under his guidance. Currently couple of MPhil & PhD students are working under him. He
has published more than 12 research papers in different national and international journals and
presented more than 15 papers in different international and national conferences. He has authored 1
books on Tribal development and contributed many chapters to Books & Self Instruction Manual.
He is the recipient of several Award for remarkable achievements in the field of Teaching, Research,
Publications and social work contribution awarded by National and State Organization. He has immense
experience in guiding academic projects on Social Issues related to development. He has guided many
SIA and CSR projects for National Importance. He has conducted and organized seminars and workshops
on various cutting-edge Subject in Social Work. He has excellent communication, analytical and technical
skills in Social Work theory and Practice. He has worked in different committees of Shivaji University,
SRTMU, Ailhyabai Holkar Solapur University, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He is Master
trainer of State Administrative Institute (Yashada) Maharashtra State for Right to Information (RTI) Act.
Currently He is leading Integrated Behavioral Health for Social Worker in India in partnership with
Arizona State University, USA.
