Unveiling India's Global Impact: Reflections on the International Conference at CSIBER

The recent International Conference on "India’s Role in the Global Scenario: Education Technology, Business, and Climate," held on October 20th and 21st, 2023, at Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIBER), stands as a testament to the institution's commitment to academic excellence and global dialogue.

The dignitaries included Professor Dr. Chitto, Mr. Virendra Patil, Mr. Hrishikeah Shinde, and Prof Dr. Rath, Director, CSIBER, welcomed participants and colleagues to this significant event. Mrs. Madhura Mane, Organizing Committee Member, presented the outcomes and results of the conference, which aimed to explore India's evolving influence across vital sectors.

The overwhelming response to the conference was evident in the submission of more than 70 papers that delved into the theme of India's multifaceted role on the global stage. The organizers strategically structured four tracks on different thematic areas for day one, followed by two tracks on day two. Leveraging technology, the conference accommodated foreign and outstation delegates, resulting in 16 online presentations by authors from diverse locations such as Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Myanmar, Guyana, the US, Ethiopia, Suriname, Noida, Meerut, Latur, Guntur, and Solapur.

The tracks covered diverse topics, with 18 face-to-face presentations in the "Vasudhiava Kutmbakam- Global Village" management track, 11 presentations in the "Changing Role of IT- Global Perspective" track, and 17 presentations in the combined "Society and Village" and "Climate and Sustainability" Track. The total of 62 papers presented during the conference underscored its success in engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders from around the globe.

The central objective of the conference was to illustrate India's pivotal role in the global scenario. Led by Director, Prof Dr. Rath, the organizing team orchestrated a lineup of keynote speakers from different countries and industries. These speakers, including Prof Dr. Chittoo from the University of Technology, Mauritius, and Mr. Vivek Deshpande from Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd., provided profound insights into India’s global role. Other notable speakers included Dr. Yuvraj Sunechar, Dr. Ravithirramkumaran, Mr. Sarang Jadhav, Dr. Dinesh Hurriram, Dr. Nyo Nyo Lwin, Dr. Mohammad Yusuf Muse, and Mr. Virendra Patil.

The conference served as a dynamic forum for interaction and collaboration among representatives from academia, industry, and students. Various sessions facilitated in-depth discussions on the future impact of education, technology, business, and climate change, with a specific focus on India's role in the global context.

The two days were marked by lively discussions and debates, fostering a vibrant intellectual exchange not only during formal sessions but also in the informal ambiance around coffee tables. The organizing committee expressed gratitude for the support from the Management and extended heartfelt thanks to all contributors and participants for their role in making the conference both informative and enjoyable.

In conclusion, the International Conference at CSIBER not only achieved its primary goal of exploring India's global impact but also successfully created a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
