The International Conference on Innovations in Computer Science and Technology (ICICST 2026) was organized by the School of Computer Science and Applications, Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIBER), Kolhapur, on 9 and 10 October 2026. The conference aimed to provide an international platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to present their research, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and discuss emerging developments in computer science and technology.
The conference received an encouraging response from the research and academic community, with over 300 paper submissions. Following the review process, 55 papers were accepted for presentation and publication. The research contributions addressed a wide range of contemporary areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Innovation, Blockchain Technology, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things, Cyber Security, and other emerging areas of computer science and technology.
The inaugural session was graced by Prof. Jyoti Jadhav, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, as the Chief Guest. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Sameer Nanivadekar, Chair of the IEEE CIS Maharashtra Section, who shared insights into emerging developments in the field. The conference also featured distinguished international speakers from Ukraine, Malaysia, Vietnam, Türkiye, Brazil, and Portugal. Their sessions provided participants with global perspectives on contemporary technological advancements, research opportunities, and future directions in computer science and technology.
Several research contributions reflected the practical applications and innovative potential of emerging technologies. The accepted papers were presented across four technical tracks, providing opportunities for researchers to present their findings, receive constructive feedback, and engage in meaningful academic discussions. The sessions were conducted under the guidance of designated session chairs, co-chairs, and coordinators. The presented research included notable contributions on meteorological prediction using LSTM and evolutionary algorithms, the use of ChatGPT in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, multi-agent reinforcement learning for emergent social behaviour, and an AI-powered platform for cyber forensic investigation. These contributions demonstrated the application of advanced computational methods to problems in weather prediction, education, intelligent systems, and cyber forensics.
The two-day conference included inaugural and valedictory ceremonies, keynote and international speaker sessions, and technical paper presentations. The active involvement of the organizing committee, faculty members, session chairs, reviewers, coordinators, student volunteers, and participating institutions contributed to the smooth conduct of the conference. Overall, ICICST 2026 was successfully conducted and provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and academic engagement at the international level. The conference highlighted innovative research and practical applications of emerging technologies while encouraging collaboration among researchers, academicians, and students. It also strengthened the School of Computer Science and Applications’ efforts to promote research, innovation, and academic interaction in computer science and technology.
