CSIBER International Journal – CIJ
- Publication Ethics Statement
- Objective The CSIBER International Journal (CIJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publishing process (authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher) are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines.
- ScopeThis ethical policy applies to all submissions, reviews, and editorial activities within the CIJ.
- Responsibilities of Authors
- 1. Authorship Criteria
Authors must ensure that all individuals who have significantly contributed to the research are listed as co-authors. All co-authors must approve the final version of the paper and agree to its submission. - 2. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must submit only original works and properly cite or quote the work and/or words of others. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. - 3. Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review and should be prepared to provide public access to such data if possible. - 4. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals constitutes unethical publishing behavior.
- 5. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
- 6. Acknowledgement of Sources Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the nature of the reported work.
- 7. Reporting Standards Authors should present an accurate account of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior.
- 8. Submission of copyright form After the acceptance of a research article, the author should send the copyright form to the designated email address.
- Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. They must not disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than the editors. - Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments. - Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation or derivation had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. - Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers. - Promptness Reviewers should complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe. If they cannot meet the deadline, they should inform the editors promptly.
- Responsibilities of Editors
- Publication Decisions Editors are responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published. The decision should be based on the paper’s importance, originality, clarity, and the study’s validity and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Fair Play
An editor must evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. - Confidentiality Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the express written consent of the author.
- Involvement and Cooperation in Investigations Editors should take reasonably responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript or published paper, in conjunction with the publisher.
- Publishing Ethics Issues
- Dealing with Misconduct CIJ takes allegations of misconduct seriously. Any ethical misconduct identified will be investigated promptly and thoroughly. Actions may include correction, retraction, or other appropriate measures.
- Ethical Oversight CIJ maintains ethical oversight by appointing an Ethics Committee that ensures adherence to this ethical policy and addresses any ethical concerns raised.
- Final Provisions
- Updates and Revisions This ethical policy is subject to updates and revisions to adapt to new challenges and ensure the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
