All these resources are accessible on all the computers on campus. Some of the data bases have off-campus access facilities. Wi-Fi access is also available in the library and campus.
The library has a large collection of CDs which contains power point presentations, e-books etc.
This arrangement ensures that the library has the potential to provide all the needed resources for teaching learning and research.
Library Management system
The library has an online public access catalog OPAC, which is accessible all across the campus. Presently we use LibSys to manage the library. It is a semi-automated system. Soon we will shift over to Koha.

Library committee
The role of this committee is to make the academic requirements known to the library and to help it procure the right resources. It prepares the budget, decides the list of books, lists of journals, magazines and newspapers and selects the appropriate data bases for subscription. This committee also oversees the annual book exhibition.
The library committee consists of heads of the departments, senior faculty members, student representatives and the librarian works as the member secretary.
Library staff
Most of our library staff holds masters degree in Library science and they are well experienced. In addition to the routine library activities they help the students in account creations in data bases, search activities on data bases and help the students to locate the needed material. They are also involved in organizing book exhibitions, special events and report preparations. Routinely they undergo various training programs, attend seminars and conferences.
Book Selection Process
Every year from Feb 3rd to 5th the library organizes a book exhibition in memory of Dr. A D Shinde. A large number of vendors from different cities participate in this. During this faculty members select the needed books and fill the recommendation forms. Library prepares the combined list of all recommendations, separates it subject wise. Each list is send to the concerned department and the department downsizes it as per the budget allocation. For all the selected books orders are placed. Each year a specific amount is devoted for general books.
During the academic year if any immediate purchase is required that is also done.
Library working hours
9.00 am to 7.00 pm on all working days
Periodical Section
A separate hall is devoted for newspapers, magazines and journals. Students and faculty are free to visit this section to enrich their knowledge. Researchers can refer journals in this section.
Computer Lab
Even though our e-resources are available on all machines in the institute we wish to provide uninterrupted time to researchers for their review work. A lab with 27 machines is made available for this purpose.
Archival Section
Back volumes of select journals are available in this section.
Digitalization
Initially we plan to digitalize the project reports, dissertations, question papers and make it available on the LAN.
User Orientation Programmes
At the beginning of the academic year a senior faculty member or librarian gives orientation about library resources to the new set of students. Later the training managers of different data bases give detailed training on the respective data bases.
Book Bank Facility
Under this scheme, books are given to the students for an entire semester. This scheme is open for SC, ST and NT students.
Earn and Learn scheme
Few students are allowed to work in the library after library hours. They are paid on hourly basis for the work rendered. Thus students with financial difficulty have a way of earning some money to meet their requirements.
